We are pleased to announce Canine and Feline Oncology Webinar Series, led by:
Dr. Margaret Musser, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)
Dr. Kim Selting, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Oncology), DACVR (Radiation Oncology)
and Dr. Alison Masyr, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Oncology).

This webinar series is designed to provide veterinary professionals with knowledge and practical insights into the diagnosis and management of cancer in dogs and cats. This series will feature in-depth discussions on some of the most prevalent cases encountered and the treatments in veterinary practice.

The full webinar series consists of 32 webinar sessions. The lectures are accompanied by written material, question sets for self-study and discussion boards. 

You will also have the chance to ask questions during live sessions where you will be able to discuss all questions and thoughts directly with the instructors.

After having attended the Full Webinar Series you will get access to an examination leading to the

Dr. Margaret Musser

DVM, Dipl. ACVIM (Oncology)

  Iowa State University, USA

Dr. Margaret (Meg) Musser graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles, and a medical oncology residency at North Carolina State University. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2015. Dr. Musser is currently an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at Iowa State University in Ames, IA, USA.

Dr. Alison Masyr

DVM, MS, DACVIM
Assistant Professor

  Michigan State University, USA

Alison Masyr graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed two internships—the first in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, and the second in Medical Oncology and Clinical Trials from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Masyr completed a Master of Science and a Medical Oncology residency from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She achieved ACVIM diplomate status that same year.
Dr. Masyr joined the faculty at the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, where she is currently a clinical track Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology in the Small Animal Clinical Sciences Department. Her research interests focus on tumor metabolomics, novel therapeutics, and clinical trials.

Dr. Kim Selting

DVM, MS, DACVIM (Oncology), DACVR (Radiation Oncology)

  University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA

A native of Colorado, Dr. Kim Selting completed her undergraduate and veterinary studies at Colorado State University (CSU). Following a one year rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, she spent 4 years in private practice in St. Louis, MO. She then returned to the CSU Animal Cancer Center for a residency to become board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of medical Oncology. Dr. Selting then joined the faculty at the University of Missouri from 2002-2017. In 2013, she completed a non-traditional residency in Radiation Oncology and achieved board certification by the American College of Veterinary Radiology. In July 2017, Dr. Selting accepted a position as Associate Professor at the University of Illinois to develop a radiation therapy program. Current research interests include biomarkers of cancer and toxicity of cancer treatment, novel anticancer drugs, and effects of radiation dose rate modifications on the tumor microenvironment. Dr. Selting is the Past President of the Veterinary Cancer Society (VCS), the past President of the Veterinary Cooperative Oncology Group and past member-at-large for VCS, and past Chair of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) Oncology Certifying Examination Committee and the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) Certifying Examination Committee. Dr. Selting currently serves as the President for the American College of Veterinary Radiology (Radiation Oncology subspecialty, ACVR-RO).
