How to Get Your Certificate?
1. Training with Webinars
The first module "Emergency Medicine Basics" is comprised of 20 webinars in veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, which are divided into 3 packages plus Q&A session. The webinars include the following topics:
Package 1: Emergency Basics & Respiration
1) Emergency Equipment
2) Triage
3) General Stabilisation of the Patient with Dyspnea
4) Localization-based Stabilisation of the Patient with Dyspnea (case based)
5) Dyspnea Cases
6) Oxygen Supplementation Methods incl. Procedures
7) Respiratory Emergency Procedures (Tracheotomy, Thoracocenteses, MILA Chest Tube)
Package 2: Fluid Therapy & Diagnostics
1) Fluid Therapy: Where is the Fluid Deficit?
2) Fluid Therapy: Which Fluids exist and why bother?
3) Administration of Fluids
4) What comes beyond Shock? Electrolyte and Glucose Supplementation
5) Fluid Therapy Case 1
6) Fluid Therapy Case 2
7) Emergency Blood Work: What makes sense and what does it tell me?
Package 3: Reanimation, Abdomen & Trauma
1) CPR Basics
2) Approach to the Acute Abdomen (Case Based)
3) Stabilisation of the Acute Abdomen
4) Approach to the Trauma Patient
5) Initial Wound Care
6) Trauma Case
2. Assignments
You will receive an assignment after each webinar consisting out of 5 questions to answer. These questions will help you to deepen your studies and to repeat your learning. Duration is approximately 10 minutes per topic.
3. Examination
After having attended all 20 webinars you will be given access to an examination in which you can acknowledge your new competences. The examination consists out of 20 questions covering subjects out of the 20 webinars.
4. Certification
Congratulations! After successfully passing the examination you will receive your Certificate of Knowledge.

1. Is there a time limit to how long I can watch the recordings?
Yes, you have 1 year of access to the recordings counts from the registration date.
2. Can I get access to the exam without booking the full webinar series?
To get access to the exam it is mandatory to be registered for the full webinar series as the exam will include questions out of each webinar. You need to be enrolled in each webinar, but it is up to you if you book the full series or you book each webinar independently.
