The program is designed for veterinarians who want to feel more
confident in managing emergency patients. Deepen your knowledge to quickly
transition into emergency practice.

The program has a school-based structure and is of a demanding professional level. It provides practicing veterinarians with a high level of expertise. The webinars reflect the situation in practice very closely and will illustrate how to treat your emergency patient with lots of cases.

Emergency and Critical Care Online Study Program

Module 1: Emergency Medicine Basics

Fee: 15 € / Session
Normal text.Setup: One live session per week including a Q&A session where you can ask your questions directly to the instructor.
Each live session has a duration of 1 hour. The sessions will be recorded and are available to be streamed for the whole duration of the respective module. The live sessions are accompanied by written material, question sets for self-study and discussion boards. At the end of each module, an examination is provided leading to a "Certificate of Knowledge" after successfully passing the exam. You will have many opportunities for personal contact and interactive discussions directly with your instructor and colleagues.
Module 1: Emergency Medicine Basics – 20 hours
This webinar series covers the basics of emergency medicine, from equipment and triage to stabilisation of airways, respiration, circulation and abdomen. Emergency blood work and CPR will round up these important primary care skills.

Module 2: Common Emergencies – 25 hours
This mostly case-based module covers the most common emergencies. We will discuss the approach, stabilisation, diagnostic procedures and initial therapy. Most topics will be discussed interactively with the help of a case presentation.

Module 3: Advanced Emergency Care – 22 hours
This module dives deep into topics like fluid therapy, diagnostics, respiration, reanimation, reproduction and coagulation.
